Vanessa Maraldi

Born in 1994, after obtaining her high school diploma at ITC Renato Serra in Cesena with a grade of 100 cum laude, she graduated cum laude in May 2018 from the University of Bologna, Faculty of Law, Ravenna campus, with a thesis entitled "The abbreviated trial in light of recent modifications" discussed with Prof. Elena Valentini, Associate Professor of Criminal Procedure.

Simultaneously with her legal practice at the office of Lawyer Luca Ferrini in Cesena, she pursued a PhD in Legal Sciences, Criminal Procedure track, at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Law.

Since December 2021 she has been enrolled in the Bar Association of Forlì-Cesena and in June 2022 she obtained, with Excellent grade, the title of Doctor of Research, with a thesis called "Application procedure for personal prevention measures and criminal procedure: a controversial relationship", under the direction of Prof. Elena Valentini.

At the University of Bologna, with which she still actively collaborates, she was a research fellow in the projects Criminal case law and knowability of law. The construction of precedent in the European legal space and UNI4Justice - Program for the quality of the justice system and for the effectiveness of due process.

Since 2021 she has been a Contract Professor at the Higher School for Linguistic Mediators Ciels in Bologna where she teaches the semester course "Economic crime, mafias and illegal economies".

She is the author of several essays and articles published in specialized journals.

She teaches at the bar exam preparation course organized within the Forlì-Cesena Forensic School, as well as at the qualification course for the role of court-appointed defender organized by the Criminal Bar of Romagna.

She is enrolled in the national unified list of lawyers available to take on court-appointed defenses and in the list of lawyers qualified to practice at state expense.
